Privacy Policy
This explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Rise & Nourish is a functional nutrition and health coaching practice founded by Charvi Bubna Altamirano. This policy covers the Rise & Nourish food journal app and dashboard at app.riseandnourish.com (the app), which our coaching clients use to log and review their health information with their coach.
What we collect
We only collect what you or your coach add to the app. Depending on which features are switched on for you, that can include:

Much of this is health information. We treat all of it as private.
How we use it
- To show you your own journal, trends, and reports.
- For your coach to review your progress and prepare for sessions.
- To send you reminders and messages about the program, by WhatsApp or email.
- To keep the app working, secure, and improving.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
You can see your own information. Your coach can see the information of the clients she coaches. Other clients cannot see yours.
A few companies process data for us so the app can run:
- Supabase stores the database and your uploaded files.
- Vercel hosts the app and its server.
- Meta (WhatsApp) delivers WhatsApp messages and photos.
- Resend sends emails.
- Anthropic provides the AI that reads your meal photos and descriptions to estimate nutrition and to help summarize your journal. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this content to train its models.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
Connecting a wearable
Connecting is always your choice. You sign in on Oura's own page and choose what to share, and we never see your Oura password. We only read the data types you approve. You can disconnect at any time from the app, or from your Oura account under its connected apps. When you disconnect, we stop collecting new data. Ask us and we will also delete what was already imported.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are a client, and afterward unless you ask us to delete it. When you ask, we delete your information from the app, apart from anything we must keep by law.
How we protect it
Information is encrypted while it travels between you and the app and is stored with access controls. Each client sees only their own account, and the coach area is limited to the coach. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect yours.
Your choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it. You can also turn off any optional feature, such as a wearable connection. Email charvi@riseandnourish.com and we will respond promptly.
Who the app is for
The app is for adults aged 18 and over who are working with us as a coach.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by message.
